Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the use of services provided by Simple Clearances (“we”, “us”, or “our”), a company incorporated in the United Kingdom. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using our services.

Our Services

Simple Clearances offers waste removal, clearance, and recycling services for domestic and commercial customers across the UK. We collect and remove various types of waste, including but not limited to furniture, general rubbish, garden waste, and electrical goods.

Booking and Payment

Booking Process: You may book our services via our website, over the phone, or through other approved communication channels. When booking, you will provide necessary details such as the type of waste, location, and preferred date and time for the clearance.

Payment: Payment for our services is due in full at the time of booking, or upon completion of the service, depending on the agreement between us. We accept payment via credit/debit card, bank transfer, and other specified methods.

Price: The price for our services is based on the amount and type of waste, the location of the clearance, and any additional services requested. We will provide an estimate before you confirm the booking.

An order is only accepted when we confirm it.
If there are more items than specified when booking then they may be subject to additional charges.
We can’t take prohibited items and can refuse jobs if they turn up and there are some prohibited items.
Removals cancelled less than 24 hours will still be liable for the call out fee due to the logistical planning, admin cost and driver hire fee.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation by You:

If you wish to cancel or reschedule your booking, you must notify us at least 24 hours before the scheduled service. If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, you may be subject to a cancellation fee.

Cancellation by Us:

In the event we need to cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer you the opportunity to reschedule or receive a full refund.

our Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for ensuring that all waste is correctly identified and ready for collection at the time of the booking. We may refuse to collect waste if it is deemed hazardous, prohibited, or not in line with the services offered.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that the collection area is accessible and safe for our team to remove the waste. Any delays or additional charges resulting from inaccessibility may incur extra fees.

Prohibited Items

We do not collect the following items:

  • Hazardous waste (e.g., asbestos, chemicals, solvents, batteries, etc.)
  • Medical waste
  • Items that are prohibited by law for disposal or recycling
  • Large construction materials (unless specifically agreed)

If you are unsure whether certain items can be collected, please contact us before your booking.

Collection and Recycling

We aim to recycle as much waste as possible. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that waste collected is disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner in accordance with UK laws and regulations.

Liability

Limitation of Liability: We will not be held liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of business, arising from our services.

Damage to Property: We take great care during the clearance process, but we cannot be held responsible for accidental damage to property unless it results from our negligence.

Data Protection

We will handle your personal data in accordance with the UK’s Data Protection Act 2018 and any applicable regulations. We will not share your data with third parties, except as necessary to fulfil the services provided.

Force Majeure

We will not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations under these Terms and Conditions due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to adverse weather, strikes, acts of terrorism, or natural disasters.

Amendments to Terms

We reserve the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and the revised terms will apply from the date of posting.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the UK.
